An Intimate Night of Acoustic Music for Barbara

Niamh Collins and Niwel Tsumbu have come together to curate a powerful and intimate evening of acoustic music in support of their dear friend, Barbara Campbell, who is currently undergoing treatment for glioblastoma — an aggressive form of brain cancer. This heartfelt evening promises to be a moving celebration of music, community, and support — with all proceeds going directly toward Barbara’s family to help fight this aggressive form of cancer.
This special fundraising event will feature an extraordinary lineup of world-class talent, headlined by the incomparable Rhiannon Giddens — Grammy Award winner, Pulitzer Prize recipient, and MacArthur “Genius” Grant fellow. A founding member of the renowned Carolina Chocolate Drops, Giddens has earned widespread acclaim for her visionary musicianship and has garnered two Grammy Awards among nine additional nominations for her solo and collaborative work. She will be joined by her longtime collaborator, Francesco Turrisi, a Grammy-winning multi- instrumentalist whose genre-defying work blends early music, jazz, and global influences. Also performing are Niwel Tsumbu, the celebrated Congolese guitarist known for his dazzling technique and cross-cultural fusion, and Eamonn Cagney, a master percussionist whose dynamic rhythms and rich textures are a vital part of Ireland’s contemporary music scene.
