Between two island shores
A concept b2b techno project from the minds of Fuinneamh Festival founder Luke Reddy aka “Lucas Ogma” and Aran Mannion aka “Mannio” which features 2.5 hours of originally produced material created using field recordings from the coastline of Ireland and the Aran islands.
Luke lives on the NW Atlantic coast of Co Sligo and is consistently on the move up and down the coast.. deeply moved and inspired by the relationship between the ocean and the shoreline.
Aran Mannion is living on the exposed far reaches of our little lands, way out on Inis Oirr, the smallest of the Aran Islands and it is here that Aran has been developing his slick production style which incorporates grooves, textures and depth..
Together they are working on a DJ set of 100% originally produced material that incorporates field recordings from the coastlines where both artists call home in an effort to study and learn more about the natural soundscape.
Becoming inspired by the sonic spectrum that one might find in these unique, beautiful, natural places.. The artists will tell the story through music of how these sounds can be used or transformed to fit into electronic music, dj sets and dance floor spaces through this project
