About the album
An Ciúnas is the second solo album from Caitlín Nic Gabhann, bringing together old traditional melodies and new compositions, including seven of Caitlín’s own tunes. Caitlín is joined by some of Ireland’s foremost accompanists on the album— Mark Kelly of Altan, Trevor Hutchinson of Lúnasa and Seán Óg Graham of Beoga — creating a rich and beautifully understated setting for the concertina. Recorded at Trevor Hutchinson’s studio in Dublin, ‘An Ciúnas’ is presented on vinyl, CD and digital, with photography by Rich Gilligan, art direction by Ais Farinella and bespoke design by Paul Guinan.
